Advice for a decision. Support for the years ahead.
Initial advice and ongoing advice are distinct services. We explain what each covers, what you pay and when a new piece of work needs its own agreement.
01 / INITIAL ADVICE
A defined assignment. An agreed initial fee.
We agree the decisions to address, the plans involved and the research, recommendation and implementation to be delivered.
We agree the fee, payment stages and cancellation terms with you before paid work begins.
For the agreed portfolio: an annual review of your circumstances, objectives, risk and continuing suitability, agreed investment oversight, and access to your adviser for questions within that service.
Drawdown reviews also consider withdrawals, tax and income sustainability. We record the review and recommended action.
Existing clients
Check what’s covered. Then agree what’s new.
Your existing agreement is the starting point. We do not charge twice for the same advice or implementation.
Within the agreed service
Included work
The annual review described in your service agreement.
Adviser questions within that service.
Routine withdrawals and phases already included in the agreed plan.
Advice and implementation already paid for or promised.
A separate fee may apply
New work
Reviewing an additional pension for a possible switch.
A new, full retirement or drawdown planning assignment.
A different investment, family or business planning objective.
Substantial additional work outside the existing scope.
We explain the new work and price before starting it. A change in circumstances does not, by itself, mean everything becomes chargeable again.
Not sure whether something is covered? Ask us before any new work starts. Checking costs nothing.
Our standard annual rates are 0.6% while building investments, 0.75% for drawdown and 0.75% for corporate investments.
The agreement identifies the assets and rate. Moving one pension into drawdown does not automatically apply a higher rate to every investment you hold with us.
Fees are normally collected monthly and change with asset values. Provider, platform, fund and any discretionary management costs are additional.
Your choice
A service you understand. A decision you control.
Can I ask for one-off advice?
Yes. We explain whether ongoing advice is suitable and the implications of proceeding without it. We may decline work where we cannot provide a suitable service on the proposed basis.
How do I cancel ongoing advice?
Contact your adviser or our office. We acknowledge the date, arrange for future charges to stop and reconcile any overpayment. There is no exit penalty from us. Product-provider charges and rights are separate.
What if I need more help understanding the advice?
Tell us what would help. We can explain information differently, allow more time or involve someone you trust with your permission. Needing extra help to understand or communicate does not automatically increase your fee.
Your next step
Let’s talk about your plans.
A conversation about what matters to you, and how we can help.
